MORE "LONDON BOULEVARD" FILM FOOTAGE...

  1. Has anyone seen this movie? It doesn't seem to be getting very good reviews - nor does Colin's attempt at a Cockney/South London accent. :-o I must be honest for some bizarre reason it seems to diminish Colin's charisma as an actor for me when he speaks with a London accent - obviously his Irish accent must be more appealing to me. (Strangely I don't mind him speaking in an American accent either.) I had the same problem with Cassandra's Dream. He seems sort of ordinary. He does look very good though in London Boulevard - maybe I should watch it with the sound off!:))
Anyone from South London - please don't take offence. I don't have a problem with the accent per se -----maybe Colin's just not that good at that accent (sorry Colin..:()

  2. I haven't seen the movie, but I read the script and have been looking forward to it ever since. Thought it was a really good story. But I also like Cassandra's Dream a lot. The accent Colin does in both seems good to me. He's said in interviews the LB accent is deliberately not what people might expect because of the characters background and class. I was especially impressed that he could sing doing a good southern U.S. accent in Crazy Heart.

  3. It would seem obvious to me that a man trying to break from a blue collar background would deliberately try to 'better' his accent. I don't need to have that spelled out for me.

I wonder what these so-called reviewers use for logic and intelligence? :D
