The film is to be based on the acclaimed novel by Slavomir Rawicz called The Long Walk. A true story of an epic escape journey over thousands of miles across five hostile countries by a small band of multi-national prisoners from a Siberian gulag in 1940.
Directed by the Australian Peter Weir, other works include, The Trueman Show (great film), Dead Poets Society, and Green Card to name but a few.
Filming in Bulgaria, India and Morocco... wonder if Colin will have a tan in this film then?
